HOLI CELEBRATION IN INDIA
As we know HOLI, a Indian festival is
the festival of colure’s People in India play with colure’s with each other. There
are many places you can visit to play Holi in a different way …..
1. Mathura and Vrindavan
The best place
to visit during Holi is Mathura and Vrindavan. In these places Holi start 40
days before the Holi day, the temple and the local house is decorated with
flowers and the shops are filled with delicious sweets. Mathura is where Lord
Krishna was born, while vrindavan is the place where is spend his childhood.
The main venue for Holi celebration in Mathura is in the vicinity of Holi gate.
The weeklong celebration at Banke Behari temple in Vrindavan is also legendary.
2. Banaras :Holi with Sticks
Banaras is a
religious place in the state of the Uttar Pradesh in India, it is situated on the
bank of the river Ganga. Here Holi is played in a new way with stick and known
as “lath maar Holi”. The women of Banaras village beat up the man from neighboring
village with sticks. Lath maar Holi take place around a week before the main
day of Holi.
3. Jaipur
Japur is
also known as the pink city is the place where Holi is celebrated with the
elephants. An elephant festival kicks off Holi celebration in jaipur every year
on Holi eve. Elephant parades, beauty contest, folk dance and tug-of-war
between elephant, local and foreigners are all regular events. It make the fun
on Holi little extra.
