Triund trek

Triund is an attractive trekking destination. Situate in the  laps of dhauladhar mountains Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, India. It is a very popular trekking spot. People from different part of India come every year. Triund trek is basically an easy trek of 7 Km that can be accomplish by any person of any age group. Triund has an unambiguous byway which goes through a beautiful mixed forest of oak, deodar  and rhododendron. People usually come here in summer to get some relief from the summer heat, Triund trek does not only help you in getting relief from summer but its also help relaxing your mind from all the stress with some beautiful views of the Dharmashala city and  dhauladhar mountains.


The starting point of the Trek is Galu, you can reach Galu from Mcleod Ganj by hiring taxi, or you can start trekking from the Mcleod Ganj itself, best season for trek is from March to June and from September to December, during monsoon its a bit rainy but trekking is still possible.

Night in the jungle... yes we spend a night in a jungle and it was not one of the best night of my life. A lot have been known of the famous NELANG village which was the trade centre for the three great kingdoms of Bushahr, Gharwal and Tibet in the era of 16-17th century. For those who do not know, Nelang(NOW IN GHARWAL) was the epiccentre of the trade between these three kingdoms through which the trade was carried out during that era.
