Shimal is a small hill station located in the lap of Himalayas. Its is the capital of  Himachal Pradesh state. Shimla was named as the summer capital of India by the British rulers, they came up here in the summer to get some relief from the plane heat. CHADAR TREK

CHADAR TREK The Chader trek is world famous for the frozen Zanskar River in Ladakh during the winters. This is an ancient trek in the Himalayas, for the locals this was the only way for them to commute. The temperature during the trek regularly drops below -20 Celsius.  This is the extremely glamorous trek. It is a 6 day trek in inhospitable conditions. The trek is on the frozen river in Ladakh. A lot have been known of the famous NELANG village which was the trade centre for the three great kingdoms of Bushahr, Gharwal and Tibet in the era of 16-17th century. For those who do not know, Nelang(NOW IN GHARWAL) was the epiccentre of the trade between these three kingdoms through which the trade was carried out during that era.
