Situated in the Lap of the Himalayas, the Dheradun citiy is one of the oldest citiy in the country.  Dheradun is the capital of the Indian state Uttrakhand. The city is also known as the ‘Adobe of Drona’.  It is basically situated in the Garwal Region of the Utrakhand State. Dheradun is in the Doon Valley on the foothills of the Himalayas nestled between the two large rivers of the India “Ganga” and “Yamuna”. Tourism wise the city can be divided in four and five areas like sports, nature, sanctuary, institutions and museums. However the city is very popular for its beautiful Landscape and the Adventure Sports.

1. Forest Research Institute

The FIR is an institute of the Indian council of forest research and education and it is a repudiated institute in the field of the forestry research India.


2.  Maussoorie

Just 20Km to 3oKm away from Dheradun, the Mussoorie is the beautiful hill station. It is also known as the queen of Hills. The Place is very famous in India for beautiful Himalayan landscape.


3. Haridwar

One of the most spiritual city of the Country, just one and a half Hour away from the Dheradun. Haridwar is the must visit city if you are in Dheradun.


4. Indian Military Academy

 The Indian Military Academy is the officers training academy of Indian Army. IMA was establish in 1932.


5. Tibetan Buddhist Temple

Famous for extravagant Buddhist Structure and  school of Tibetan religion. The Buddha Temple is the most visited place in the Dheradun City. The temple is center of attraction for most of the international tourists.

Night in the jungle... yes we spend a night in a jungle and it was not one of the best night of my life. A lot have been known of the famous NELANG village which was the trade centre for the three great kingdoms of Bushahr, Gharwal and Tibet in the era of 16-17th century. For those who do not know, Nelang(NOW IN GHARWAL) was the epiccentre of the trade between these three kingdoms through which the trade was carried out during that era.
